lavender coffee

a song about a relationship that somehow feels both safe and homey, and new and exciting, drawing on the symbolism of lavender and coffee. a celebration of all the little things in a love story that seem insignificant at the time, but become hallmarks of the feeling in retrospect. the mission statement of the album.

the catacombs

written from the perspective of Leto II, a giant worm with the face of a man, from Frank Herbert's novel, The God Emperor of Dune. portrait of disillusionment and dissociation, and the disorientation they bring. an inquiry into victimhood and villainy. this song is a highly experimental relic from an earlier version of the album, based entirely around the Dune series.

frisk-_-

named after the playable character in the video game Undertale, this song omits lyrical verses, relying on wave-like vocal rounds to invoke the sensation of an anxiety loop. a sea shanty for the obsessive-compulsive. the unexpected anxieties that arise only when faced with unprecedented connection.
